Welcome to Heart of Norfolk Yoga

Hatha Yoga is often described as a slow and gentle stretching with some breath work and meditation, however it still does give you a very good physical workout.

  • Yoga is not competitive, either with others in the class or with yourself.
  • You do as much or as little as you feel comfortable with at that time.

Once you become more aware of your body and start to develop improved strength and focus, as well as becoming relaxed with your breathing, you are able to hold postures for longer and go deeper into them.

Coming as I do from a GP background I am very much a 'hands on' teacher so I will come around the class to advise on individual adjustments so you will know what you should be working towards.

I will encourage the concept of 'being present' in your yoga practice so whatever level you feel you are at, whether completely new to yoga or having practised for some time, you will be encouraged to get the most out of your time in the class.

Yoga has done so much for me both mentally and physically, and it is a joy for me to be able to introduce it to others. So if you have thought about trying yoga before but not had the confidence or the time, I would encourage you to make some time for yourself, your body and your mind and come along to try a class.

I look forward to meeting you!
